On April 10th and 11th the Cultural Studies in Education Graduate Student Council is proud to present the 4th Annual Cultural Studies in Education Conference: Pedagogies of Power - Mobilizing Community Ways of Knowing, Being, and Teaching.
This years conference aims to draw attention to the array of powerful pedagogical practices being deployed within diverse educational community spaces in and outside of traditional schooling institutions. Knowing, being, and teaching are all transformative processes that require critical understandings of ourselves in relation to our communities. This conference seeks to explore how liberatory teaching and learning practices mobilize communities to work together for social justice. We aim to foster a critical dialogue between practioners, researchers and advocates by sharing our knowledge and experiences to organize against the hierarchical and inequitable practices of the current education system.
Please explore our website for additional information, news and updates regarding this year's conference.
