Daily Paper Organization by Subject
Teachers have to pass out a lot of papers to students, especially when they start getting older. With all of these different handouts in every subject, it is very easy to get confused and lose papers. My CT uses an organization technique that is simple, yet extremely effective. She has a file holder on her desk, and in it are five file folders for every subject, and each folder is dedicated to a day of the week. For example, she has a cluster of folders labeled Math Monday, Math Tuesday, Math Wednesday, etc. She fills these folders up at the end of the week for the following week's papers. Therefore, she never has to waste time remebering where she put the reading worksheets or math problems. It also makes finding things much easier for a substitute or a student intern (AKA me!).
I got this idea from Ms. Hansen's class at Spicewood Elementary in Round Rock ISD.
