Rogue Questions and Burning Questions
You know when students ask you a really great question that is completely off topic? Or when students have a question that doesn't quite fit into your lesson? Rogue questions and burning questions are a good idea geared towards catering to those occurences in your classroom. When students have a rogue question, which refers to a question that is off topic, or a burning question, which refers to a question that a student thought of during class and desperately wants answered, they can post their questions up for the class and the teacher to see. My CT has an area in her room dedicated to these types of questions, and students simply write their questions on a post-it note and put them up.
I got this idea from Ms. Hansen's class at Spicewood Elementary in Round Rock ISD.
